Lodge-Sweet-Home

I sincerely hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July Holiday with family, friends & fun!  I have been hiding out at our family's lake home which we lovingly refer to as "The Lodge" in northern Wisconsin... napping, mental prep for the tour, grilling, lots of singing with my niece and game playing with my nephew.  My sisters in law and I spend countless hours in connected floating loungers with refreshing adult beverages, gossip magazines, sun-tanning and chatting.  This is my favorite place in the world.  More pictures, videos and stories to come!

I love Wal*Mart... and Jake Gyllenhaal

True story... I love Walmart.  It's where I met Tyler (aka Jake Gyllenhall - don't tell me you don't see it! lol.)  My friend Gabe and I were standing in the check out lane close to midnight and complaining about the world's SLOWEST checker - anyway - turns out it was a huge gift because it gave me a chance to chat with the random stranger in line behind me. (Yes, I am notorious for striking up meaningful conversations with many strangers.)  Point is, this is where we realized we were both Full Sailers who were into country music.  Tyler was scheduled to leave Orlando the next day and move to Nashville where he has landed an internship with Dark Horse studios.  We exchanged Facebook info and said we'd keep in touch.  Less than a week later I wrote to him asking if he made it safely to Nashville.  As luck would have it, he had the chance to audit a class @ Full Sail and would in fact be staying in Florida for the remainder of June.  We ended up getting together less than a week after we had met - and have been working together almost every single day since then!  He is an incredibly gifted producer, musician and great friend.  We have spent countless hours, laughed out loud, named all of our instruments, taken photos, eaten FAR too many Starbursts, produced music, shot 'YouTubesday' videos, performed @ Open Mic nights and in downtown Orlando AND written and composed original music.  I will miss Tyler terribly but will be traveling to Nashville soon to keep everything going.  I am so very grateful for the opportunity to work with him before he leaves tomorrow.  God is so good - He is definitely blessing my life with the members of 'the.JCrew' :)

Production, Pumps & Princesses, Oh My!!

BIG Week over here @ J.Christine Studios.  It is filled with lots of production (original music is almost ready to be released!!) Plus I am in the midst of packing for the 'No Bully Tour' with a big thank you to Audrey my assistant for all her help, and I'm PUMPED b/c I get to see the little Princess (aka my niece Hallie - or Cupcake as I like to call her) in just 6 short days.  My family is going to spend just a few days together before I jump on the plane to New York to get this tour started!  Here's just a few fun pictures to take a look at.  Tyler, Eddie and Trump were here for hours working on production yesterday.  The top center picture of the sparkly red microphone was a gift from my Mom - and yes, I do use it sometimes when I rehearse :)  The bottom is a line-up of the shoes (No, Mom.  I am not packing ALL of them... lol) and I just love the picture of Hallie in the tutu.  She is gonna be a star someday too... she was singing at less than 1 year old.  *Sigh* I can't wait to see her and my nephew next week (and the rest of the family as well) - I promise to share pictures of my mini-vacation!!

Behind the Scenes Post...

Since the title of this blog is 'Behind the Scenes with Jenna Christine' - TRUE behind the scenes is what I'm going to deliver!  These are some pictures from the YouTubesday video we shot of 'Turning Tables'.  We actually shot the video on my balcony at my apartment and crammed in about 13 people to work on the actual production.  It was just an awesome day.  Some of the people are pictured in the center on the bottom, but that's not all of 'the.JCrew' - I will be spotlighting people soon so you can get to know them as well!  Notice the awesome crew in crazy positions with the cameras, Robby holding the fan and candle-lit lanterns in the background.  It's amazing what AJ, John & Domenica were able to do with the cinematography... I bet you'd never guess this was my balcony unless you had already been here and knew exactly where we were!!
